There’s usually a valid reason for players to not sign a new contract with their current team and they’d be understandable. But Mesut Ozil has picked a bizarre and outright ridiculous reason.  

At the end of the season, Ozil’s contract expires with Arsenal and he’ll be free to join any other team. After the winter transfer window, clubs can start offering Ozil contracts but the Gunners might opt to sell him in the Winter Transfer Window.

The German International’s been offered a contract or two by the Gunners but the main sticking point’s been money, just like Sanchez, Ozil’s looking for around the £350k-a-week.
